QUEST Homework

QUEST is an online homework system that I really like. It allows me to assign problem sets where each student has the same questions but different values in their variables. This means that they can help each other all they want but their numbers are their own. They get less points for each attempt up to 7 on each question. I love the immediate feedback that this provides as they practice through the content.
To make the experience a little more pleasant and manageable, I provide general hints for each question and take their scores out of 10 points by rounding up to the nearest whole value (for example: 81% and 89% are both worth a 9/10) There is a subscription fee if you don't already use this system. For $300 a year, a high school gets full access to this tool. We currently have many classes using this program so that cost is really spread out in a manageable way. |
